GOOD AS NEW CARPENTRY & BUILDING
Making your project - Good As New
Doing Good Locally
Cause we care about the community we work in.
Our Good As New Team are committed to positive and structural change within our local community.
From building female sporting change rooms for the local Cowra Magpies Rugby League Club, to enhancing Aboriginal community infrastructure for multiple organisations, we actively support community leadership and organisations through volunteering and in-kind workmanship.
Our dedication extends to fundraising and sponsorship for community organisations focused on supporting kids experiencing disadvantage and needing a little help along the way.
We take pride in being part of this community and working together for a better future, because our old people grew up here, as younger people we grew up here, and hopefully our kids will grow up here too.
This extends to our approach to disposing of job site products with environmental consciousness.
When you invest in us to create your personal and commercial spaces, you are also investing in the flow on impact to those around us, and a family who values doing good locally.
Like many small businesses, we are both for-profit to survive and proudly, people and purpose when and where we can with the funds we work hard for.
Good As New - proudly doing good locally.
Below are some of the good things we are proud to support.
Sponsoring PCYC OzTag Team
During the summer you can find the Good As New OzTag team on the Sid Kallas Oval playing as part of the PCYC Comp. We've also sponsored players to the annual Nations competition run for school students by the PCYC.
Carpentry workmanship for female change rooms
We acknowledge the importance of female sporting facilities in country towns. So when approached to support creating a space for the Cowra Magpies Ladies League Tag Team, we were all too happy to do our bit in establishing a dedicated female change facility.
As long term magpies family and our female partner Trilby being all for improved female sporting opportunities, this is is one way things could be better locally, for the girls and women today, and those tomorrow.
Fight Night Fundraising - Champions 4 Kids
For multiple years now, the Good As New Team has contributed to the Battle in the Bush Fight Night Fundraiser in Cowra - raising funds for local kids who may need a helping hand through the Champions 4 Kids committee.
Fighting for good causes and ensuring every kid has a champion in their corner.
We are proudly a part of that.
Creating Community Spaces
With some local legends we've volunteered our time, and equipment to Aboriginal community organisations that support a collective community.
Whether it is yard clean-ups at Gumbuya owned by the Cowra LALC or installing hand soap and bathroom fixtures at Yalbillinga, a little contribution goes a long way.
We'll help when and where we can, because it's the community we grew up in and the community our kids will too.
Proud to align ourselves with good people.
Rugby 10's - Perry's Predators
For a couple of year's now we are proud sponsors of Perry's Predators at the Cowra Rugby Union Club pre-season match Rugby 10's Match.
Honouring a great community clubman since passed, a day out with the family and footy is always a good time we are proud to be a part of.
Supporting the oldest Aboriginal football team in Australia - Erambie AllBlacks
The Erambie AllBlacks being over 100 years old as a football team dating back to the 1920's proudly showcase First Nations football talent. We are all to proud to contribute to their continuing Koori Knockout Team Contest
Creating constructive conversations through play
When you come across a storyline that respectfully tells of history we should all better know, and is cemented in the vision of understanding, we jumped at the chance to contribute to set construction for the phenomenal local theatre play - Intertwined by Lusi Austin.
Acknowledging also the donation of materials by Jeffs Building Supplies and Power Tools Plus.
Working with others to do good, that's our cup of tea.
Local people, local stories.
